Description

Do you have an interest in catering and supporting young children? We are looking for 5 lunchtime helpers (or fewer if you can help on more than one day of the week).
You will support the Early Birds Nursery team before, during and after the lunchtime period.
You will volunteer alongside the Early Birds team to help prepare and serve tea for the nursery children and to help with clearing away afterwards.
Main responsibilities:-
• To help set up the room ready for lunchtime
• To welcome the nursery children
• To serve the pre-made, delivered meals to the nursery children
• Clear away after lunch, use the industrial dishwasher
• To ensure the risk assessment for the group is complied with
• Attend child protection basic awareness training

Requirements

To be approachable, have a friendly manner and a desire to be helpful
To be punctual and reliable
Have the ability to understand the importance of safeguarding and health and safety procedures as they apply to the group
Experience of food preparation or similar would be desirable but is not essential
Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate - or be willing to work towards this
