Thursday mornings: 9.30 - 11.30 (but this can be flexible) This is an all year round opportunity, but term time only would be considered. You will be asked to attend a three hour Child protection Basic Awareness training session

If you do, why not consider volunteering for our Library Walk Assistant opportunity.
We are looking for someone to walk with the children and staff to and from the library as well as encouraging the children to enjoy what books and libraries have to offer.

Main tasks and responsibilities
• To assist preschool staff to support children to get coats and appropriate outdoor clothing on
• To wear a hi-vis jacket
• To accompany staff and children on the walk between nursery and library, there and back. There may be some handholding required
• To help children settle into the library
• To support the children and staff when selecting books and using the library equipment to check books in and out of the library
• To assist staff to support children to remove their outdoor clothing and settle back into the preschool room
• To review the library visit and provide any feedback to the preschool staff
