Wellspring needs volunteers able to commit to one duty a month, ideally on a Monday evening for 6 - 9:45 pm. Other volunteers are always needed for duties on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 - 8:45 pm too.

Description

Wellspring needs a Volunteer Receptionist to meet and greet Counselling clients at Tower House in Nailsea, especially on a Monday evening. The duty is from 6-9.45pm once a month. There are busy times of seeing clients in and out of the building as well as long periods while sessions are taking place for some quiet time. The ability to hold the highest level of confidentiality is needed for those volunteering in this role. A great way to support those in the local community in need of Counselling support. Wellspring is a great team to be a part of and holds regular meetings every 3-4 months for all Volunteer Receptionists to get together and catch up on the latest news.

Organisation Description

Wellspring is a community-based charity that has been serving the local community of Nailsea and surrounding North Somerset towns and villages for 25 years. Wellspring provides professional, affordable Counselling for adults and free Counselling and CBT for young people age 11 upwards.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

Somebody able to be organised in making sure all the equipment is ready for Counsellors to collect to set up their rooms.
Able to deal with a small amount of admin of lists and sign in books and ensuring payments collected by Counsellors are placed in the correct place.
A friendly person who is also discreet and able to meet and greet clients in a welcoming way without enquiring about why they are coming for Counselling.
Able to hold the highest level of confidentiality about the fact that clients are coming for Counselling.
A calm person who will ensure the atmosphere of the evening sessions is one of welcoming calm!
