Macmillan Cancer Support

Name: Referral Coordinator - North Somerset Buddies
Organisation: Macmillan Cancer Support
Location: C/O Voluntary Action North Somerset, Weston Court, Oldmixon Crescent, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset, BS24 9AU
Type: Part Time

Description

Macmillan's Clevedon Buddies Service is working in partnership with the local Macmillan Cancer Information Centre. Our volunteers provide practical help and a listening ear to people affected by cancer during and after their treatment.

We need a volunteer to help co-ordinate the referrals into the scheme. You will take phone calls and answer emails, go on home visits and link in with other volunteers to help ensure the smooth running of the service.

This is a great opportunity to support a high-profile organisation, develop a range of transferable skills and experience of working with volunteers. We have a comprehensive training programme and you will genuinely be making a difference to those people affected by cancer.
We estimate the role to take a maximum of 10 hours per week.
