Community Volunteers

Long Ashton Community Association

Name: Community Volunteers
Organisation: Long Ashton Community Association
Location: C/O 28 Keedwell Hill, Long Ashton, Bristol, BS41 9DR
Type: Part Time
Volunteering does not have to involve a regular weekly commitment but can be on a ‘when you are available’ basis, especially for volunteers willing to help at events and cinema.

Description

LA Connected is a newly formed group of organisations in the village of Long Ashton working together to improve the community. One of the first things we would like to do together is to create a central volunteer hub, so if you would like to volunteer for Long Ashton Community Association, LA Cinema or LA Cafe you can sign up in one place and we will pass your details on to the relevant organisation. We envisage the number of organisations being involved growing with time.

We are looking for volunteers to:

Help in the cafe
Sell tickets at events/cinema
Help with the bar at events/cinema
Learn to operate the cinema equipment
Look after the garden around the cafe area
Develop better communication of local information through I.T
Anything else you think might be helpful!
