Could you support our youth workers? Could you help to run clubs for 8 – 10 year olds, 10 -12 year olds or 11- 14 year olds?
Activities could include supporting young people with: providing information, developing life skills, art, crafts, cooking, IT, sports, trips and various other activities.
You will be supported at all times by professional youth workers, and your role will be to assist in activities organised by them, however, there will be opportunities to plan activities where you share your own interests and skill if you wish. Young people are also involved in planning the programme of activities. There are a number of sessions every week in term time, and the volunteer roles are shared on a rota basis so that no-one is expected to do more than they wish to. CYP also runs all day events in school holidays, which also require volunteers.
