Part Time
Flexible to suit volunteer's availability. This is not a regular commitment. Likely to be very Ad Hoc. May be asked to assist on any day of the week at any time (if available).
Not usually required for the term time sessions or holiday sessions which are;
Monday 3 - 6.30pm
Tuesday 3 - 5pm
Wednesday 3 - 5pm and then 6.30 - 8:30pm
Holiday timing vary, but usually Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Description
We are looking for a volunteer, ideally living locally to the CYP cabin, who will be responsible for occasional opening and closing the building for one-off events and liaising with suppliers or maintenance workers who need access. Ideally, this volunteer would have an interest in the maintenance of the building, doing small repairs, and assessing the skills and quotations of persons tendering for larger jobs.
CYP runs three youth sessions a week, and has a couple of regular daytime bookings. These do not need the attention of the handy person.
Although the handy person may not be required to attend on a frequent basis, this is a very important role when needed.

Organisation Description
CYP works with the part-time Youth Workers to support the young people of Congresbury and surrounding areas, providing a variety of opportunities and activities to meet the needs of 8-14 year olds. Our work is funded partly by Congresbury Parish Council.
CYP promotes and supports development of teenage and adult volunteering and young people's involvement in the community.
Our current activities include:
•After school club on a Tuesday and Wednesday (Term time only).
•Youth Club session for young people, in school years 6 -11, on Wednesday evening (Term time only).
•Holiday activities during selected school holidays.
•Ad hoc fund raising events for families and young people.
