Community Volunteer

Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR)

Name: Community Volunteer
Organisation: Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR)
Location: Secret World Wildlife Rescue, New Road, East Huntspill, Highbridge, Somerset, TA9 3PZ
Type: Part Time
Hours are flexible and can be tailored to the individual. Perfect for individuals who can’t commit to regular volunteering, but still want to help out.

Each year Secret World receives a greater number of enquiries and wildlife casualties. To maintain this vital work, funding needs to be not only maintained, but increased. In order to expand our ability to fund raise, develop facilities and our provision of care for the many wildlife casualties admitted throughout the year, we are looking for new fundraising volunteers.
The community volunteer role does not require a regular weekly commitment like other roles. It is a flexible role, whereby people take responsibility for sourcing outlets for collection boxes, such as shops and meeting places in their local area and occasionally replacing them when the boxes are full and delivering them to the centre at a time convenient to you.
Another important aspect of this role, is advertising our events and activities. This is achieved by putting up posters and putting out leaflets in the area you oversee, every few months.
