We are looking for people to drive patients to hospital appointments at hospital outside of Weston, these patients have no other means of transport and have often had to cancel important appointments due to lack of transport.
Weston Wheels drivers use their own vehicles and agree to pick up the patients from their homes and take them to their appointments, they then wait for up to 2 hours and bring them home. The cost of the journey is pre-determined, based on 45p per mile, and is paid in cash to the driver on the day. There are no additional costs and no need for any change to the normal car insurance. There is no defined commitment you do whatever you can whenever you can, the need is always growing so any help is good news.
All volunteers will be asked to submit to a DBS check
