Some availability between office hours would be useful, but not essential. This is a flexible role which will vary according to demand and the capacity of the volunteer.
• Translating service user literature/materials (videos, leaflets, website content, social media content etc) into British Sign Language across Sirona’s services, including those for adults and children.
• Supporting and advising the Communications team on best practice for communicating with D/deaf communities.

An awareness of the role of communications and marketing is useful but not essential.
The volunteer would need to be comfortable with being filmed.
Experience of translating written and video/audio communications into BSL to support and inform the D/deaf communities of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, with a view to improving health outcomes and supporting self-care
Experience of advising a busy communications team on accessibility best practice
An understanding of the role of communications and marketing – including digital media – in healthcare/the NHS
An understanding of community healthcare.
|Expenses:||Sirona will reimburse expenses, includes travel costs and any other reasonable expenses agreed by the team/service.|
