Volunteers need to attend our meeting on Monday evenings from 8 pm and occasional extra activities such as camps and fundraising events etc.

Description
Have fun, laughs and adventure helping to provide 14 –18 yr Explorer Scouts with ‘Skills for Life’.
Explorer Scouts undertake a range of adventurous activities outdoors and in, from camping to climbing, hiking to hobbycraft and bowling to ballooning!
We are looking for a leader/s for this friendly, established group of scouts in Nailsea, meeting at the Scout HQ by the fire station in Nailsea we also make good use of Gordano Scout’s fabulous campsite, Glenny Wood and are keen participants in the annual Ten Tors Dartmoor Challenge.
Some experience of working with this age group would be an advantage but good support and training given.

Requirements
An enthusiastic person who likes teenagers and working with them to provide opportunities to grow and develop ‘Skills for Life’. Many activities will be of an outdoor adventurous kind with opportunities to take youngsters camping in this country and abroad.
You will be able to have fun, ‘go with the flow’ as well as set boundaries and offer advice as appropriate. Much of the work will be youth led, giving youngsters the opportunity to organise and manage their activities.
