MONEY MATTERS BECAUSE WITHOUT IT WE WOULD'NT BE ABLE TO CARRY OUT THE WORK WE DO. IT'S AN UNFORTUNATE FACT OF LIFE AND AT THE EDGE YOUTH PROJECT WE BELIEVE IN BEING UPFRONT ABOUT THE NEED FOR IDENTIFYING AND CREATING OPPORTUNITIES TO RAISE THE FUNDS WE NEED TO SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY.

Organisation Description
The Edge Youth Project is a not-for-profit community interest company established in January 2021 with the long term aim of creating an open-to-all youth centre for 11-17yr olds in the town. Prior to the establishment of the youth centre The Edge Youth Project will offer a range off free-to-access events and meet-ups across a range of topics and issues including mental health, sport, and support for LGBTQ youth.

Requirements
IDENTIFY AND APPLY FOR LOCAL AND NATIONAL GRANTS THROUGH THEIR INDIVIDUAL GRANT APPLICATION PROCESSES TO HELP FUND THE WORK OF THE EDGE YOUTH PROJECT.
• WORK ALONGSIDE THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE EDGE YOUTH PROJECT TO CREATE AND UNDERTAKE LOCAL FUNDRAISING EFFORTS USING INNOVATIVE AND EXCITING MEANS.
• PROMOTE LOCAL FUNDRAISING EVENTS THROUGH LIAISON WITH LOCAL AND REGIONAL PRESS OUTLETS.
• PARTICIPATE IN FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES.
Previous experience in undertaking grant writing is advantageous.
Benefits
Volunteers would gain experience in helping generate revenue for The Edge Youth Project and would have the creative space to drive forward new and innovative fundraising ideas.
