This role is suitable for both regular and flexible volunteering. The group members would then decide how often they would get together and actions they then take forward.

The plan is to create Dementia Friendly Communities throughout North Somerset by recruiting individuals who are committed to be come part of the steering group and creating local action through;
• Encouraging businesses, shops, organisations to sign up to become dementia-friends
• Raise awareness of Dementia Friends sessions and deliver these if you are a Champion
• Distribute leaflets, run information sessions
• Engage with people living with a dementia in your locality to ensure they are at the heart of your action
You will be supported by Dementia Friendly Communities Coordinator for North Somerset. Resources are freely available to download on Alzheimer’s Website for the whole of your journey.
