We need your help to raise awareness and increase income for The Children’s Air Ambulance by taking part in our planned bucket collections and shakes and also help us with more regular collections local to you.
Either as an individual or as part of a group we would love to help you get involved.
The Children’s Air Ambulance is a unique service, flying critically ill babies and children to hospital for specialist care in the only dedicated neo-natal and pediatric helicopter emergency transfer, working alongside the flying NHS intensive care teams. We transfer to 9 specialist units across the country including the Bristol Children’s hospital.
We receive no government funding; we rely solely on the generosity of the general public and businesses to keep us in the air and flying to save lives.

What we are looking for
As a volunteer bucket collector some of the things you would be involved in are:
• Supporting the fundraising team by joining us at our planned bucket collections at large events such as North Somerset Show
• Approaching local business such as supermarkets to arrange and coordinate bucket collections
• Counting the money raised at out bucket collections
• Talking to members of the public
This role is very flexible, any time you can give helps us to fund our lifesaving missions. As the charity will invest time in processing your application and providing you with training to carry out your role, we ask that you commit to a minimum of two collections per year.
In return we'll give you all the information you need to be successful in the role, provide training, support from a local friendly Community Fundraising Executive in your area and the opportunity to gain experience working for a national charity.
We will communicate all planned events to you regularly so that you can plan ahead and let us know which events you are able to support.
