Description

We are currently looking for a digital volunteer to help us with our social media content.

The main focus is to increase our Twitter presence, by being involved in more awareness days for example.

The volunteer role will involve:

- Setting up tweets
- Finding new accounts to follow
- Find and be aware of the latest disability discussions as a way to promote our work
- Supporting our communications officer in posts and content, particularly following the awareness days as outlined in the communications strategy.
- You will also be involved with helping our communications officer to build a bank of posts for Instagram, Facebook and Twitter during busy periods or when away.

Work can be remote or in the office.

Spending some weeks in the office can be helpful in gaining a better understanding of the diverse group of disabilities Paul’s Place supports.

We do this by providing social activities that connect people, reduce isolation, improve health and wellbeing and give people the opportunity to develop new skills, enjoy new experiences and live life to the full.

Requirements

To have an understanding of the challenges faced by the disabled community and be confident taking part in discussions around disability.

- Experience using social media, to engage a range of audiences in order to increase our following.
- Experience in copy editing/writing
- Excellent written communication skills in English
