Name: Volunteer Youth Work Assistant
Organisation: YMCA Clevedon
Location: Marson Road, Clevedon, North Somerset, BS21 7NN
Type: Part Time

Description

Are you committed to helping young people to realise a better future, feel confident, part of the community and that they matter?

Clevedon YMCA need volunteers to help at regular slots at our after school youth provision for ages 11 to 18 years at our community centre in Central Clevedon.

We offer training, any out of pocket expenses, t-shirt and a reference after you have volunteered for us for three months.

Clevedon YMCA is an established charity which focuses on the needs of young people and also adults with learning disabilities. We have a wide range of groups that use the building. The after school club needs volunteers to help in the kitchen, to help the young people with different activities such as sports and arts and crafts, and to be prepared to help in a wide variety of ways as required.

In the holidays we offer activities that are often off site.

The main things that we are looking for in our volunteers are availability, commitment to young people and to diversity, an open and non-judgemental attitude and a willingness to both learn and contribute. Volunteering for us would put you in a good position should a paid vacancy arise.
