Volunteers are required for a regular, once a week, evening slot.


You will be collecting song requests from around the wards in the hospital, then announcing the requests live on air.
After a 3 month probationary period volunteers will be considered for full membership. If successful they can work with an experienced presenter to create their own show for pre-recording or live broadcast.
There will also be an opportunity to be trained on operating the broadcasting desk and studio software.
All volunteers will be expected to help with fundraising as Sunshine Radio is solely funded by donations.

Organisation Description

A volunteer run charity that provides a free radio service tailored to the requirements of Weston General Hospital’s patients, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our programmes are designed to make their stay in hospital just that little bit more comfortable and hopefully the recovery period that bit shorter.

We are funded solely by donations.
