What is Code Club? Code Club is a nationwide network of volunteers and educators who run free / low cost coding clubs for young people aged 9-13.
There are already over 6,000 Code Clubs across the UK, inspiring the next generation to get excited about computing and digital making.
Code Club provide step-by-step activity sheets for club members to follow. Using these, the children create games, animations and websites while learning the key concepts of programming at the same time. Volunteers help by setting up each club session and assisting with the projects.
Code Club has resources to teach children to code in Scratch, HTML/CSS and Python. Learning to code is more than a vocational skill - it changes the way children analyse and solve problems, and encourages creative thinking and collaboration
